Patients can be referred for assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and periodontal treatment where additional care is required.

Fergus works closely with referring dentists, keeping them informed throughout treatment and returning patients to the care of their regular dentist once their periodontal treatment is complete.

BPE 3 or 4 remaining after initial periodontal treatment
Rapidly progressing or Grade C periodontitis
Advanced attachment loss or furcation involvement

The patient attends for a periodontal assessment, including a clinical examination and review of relevant radiographs.

Findings and treatment options are discussed with the patient, with the referring dentist being kept informed as appropriate. Ongoing maintenance remains with the patient's general dentist where appropriate.
